CELEBRATE YOUR BIRTHDAY AT THE MANOIR
A great programme for a successful birthday party guaranteed!
Your children will be transformed into princes, princesses and knights, to embark on a fun tour of the Manoir with the team, followed by free time at the exhibition, the giant Game of the Goose and then a manual workshop in our educational room where children can create their own coat-of-arms, learn how to write their names in calligraphy, make a crown or discover medieval cuisine.

KNIGHT’S SHIELD
A fun way to discover the world of medieval heraldry and every child will be able to make their own shield.

MEDIEVAL FINERY
Armed with colouring pens, rope and glue, children will be making a princess crown and/or knight’s leather cuff.

APPRENTICE POTTER
Children will be handling the clay themselves to make a small bowl or medal, and then decorate it with medieval symbols.

IN THE SHOES OF A MONK-SCRIBE
They’ll begin by painting using natural pigments to create an illuminated script, then will be writing their names in calligraphy.

ACCESSORIES OF THE MIDDLE AGES
Make a leather pouch with a drawstring used to keep coins in, or keys and other small objects, as bags did not yet exist in medieval times.

MEETING STONE CRAFTSMEN
Children can get an introduction to stonework by engraving medieval symbols of their choice and using natural pigments.

MEDIEVAL GAMES
Children will be making their own board game from the Middle Ages, complete with game pieces. Choose from two traditional games (jeu de mérelle and the jeu du lièvre et du chasseur)

APPRENTICE PASTRY CHEFS
Discover the lords’ favourite spices and main ingredients used in the Middle Ages as you make little medieval biscuits.
PLAN YOUR VISIT
To make sure all your friends get their invite
- Price: €8 per child between 5 and 12 years old
- 7 children minimum and 15 maximum
The caretaker at the Manoir de la Cour has prepared a missive for you, so you can announce to all your friends they are invited. All you need to do is fill them in and hand them out: Missive for Gentle Woman or Noble Lord.
Guide for the scribe who will be filling in the missive:
- Size of the parchment: A4
- Sides to write on: front and back on the shorter sides.
- Number of missives: tick ‘2 pages per sheet’
- Scale: tick ‘adjust to printing size’
